IMPLEMENTASI AKAD QARDH AL HASAN PADA BMS LABORATORIUM PERBANKAN UIN SUNAN AMPEL SURABAYA

In Islam all kinds of transactions are marked by the existence of a contract. The contract is a form of agreement between the parties involved in the transaction. An example of a contract is the Qardh al hasan contract. This contract about borrowing without any additions during the return process. At BMS, the Banking Laboratory of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya applies the Qardh al Hasan contract to their financing products. As a financial institution, of course there are procedures in this Qardh al Hasan operation. Therefore this study aims to find out how the implementation of the Qardh al Hasan contract in operational financing at the BMS. The research method used is qualitative which is based on existing empirical data and supported by relevant theories. The data collection technique in this study was based on directed interviews with BMS management. The results of this study indicate that the Qardh al Hasan contract is in accordance with sharia principles. There are terms and conditions for obtaining approval for financing using this contract. This is solely for the sake of ensuring that the funds lent to customers are channeled according to their purpose and are not misused. In the refund process, customers are also allowed to use a payment system with a maximum installment period of six months.
